    This detailed and early map covers the covers the northern part of Pendleton, north of Salford, still in 1893 an area on the edge of fields. Features include Pendleton Colliery, Agecroft Hall Paper Works, engine depot and railways but no station (though today's Salford Crescent station would be at foot of map); St George's church, Douglas Green, River Irwell, Pendleton Old Hall, Agecroft Colliery, Higginson's Brow, Agecroft Print Works, Summerville, Bridge Mill, Bridgewater Works, Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal, Willow Bank Mill, Globe Mill, Irwell Bleach Works etc. On the reverse we include street directory entries for Bolton Road, Langley Road, Whit Lane, Cook Street and Orchard Street.

    The map links up with sheets 96.13 Rainsough to the north, 103.04 Swinton Park to the west, 104.02 Cheetham to the east and 104.05 Salford West to the south.
