  • Here are the details of maps for Temple Newsam:

  • Yorkshire Sheet 218.08 Temple Newsam 1905 - published 2017; intro by Alan Godfrey. ISBN.978-1-78721-099-8

The principal feature on this detailed map is the great house of Temple Newsam, famous for its connections with Darnley, Lady Hertford and Lord Halifax, and now a brilliantly furnished museum, surrounded by a great park.

The map also extends to the estate hamlet of Colton and includes the southern parts of Whitkirk and Halton. We include an 1899 directory of Whitkirk on the reverse.

The map links up with Sheets 218.04 Cross Gates to the north and 218.07 Osmondthorpe to the west.
