Sunderland and East Durham Subscription

Ten new maps for Sunderland and East Durham to be published in 2026

  • We plan to issue ten new maps for Sunderland and East Durham. This will be split between maps within the City of Sunderland MBC area and the large villages (principally mining villages) in County Durham to the south. More than half of the maps will be for areas not previously covered in the series.
  • We intend to launch the first maps at the Sunderland Local History Fair on 30th May. The rest will all be published before the end of 2026.
  • Subscriptions give an excellent discount, and also support us in our mission to cover as many towns and villages as possible. Each map includes a specially written introduction. Maps are normally sent to subscribers, postage free, a few days before publication. A subscription costs just £ 33 for the ten new maps, and there is an Earlybird offer of £ 28, a substantial saving on the normal price.
  • Note that this subscription is essentially for the new maps, not those already available. For those maps for the area already published, visit the relevant Durham and Sunderland pages.

    The first maps in this subscription are due in late May 2026. Although no firm timetable can be given, we intend to publish all ten maps by the end of 2026.
