Ten new maps for the Medway Towns to be published in 2024

We plan to issue ten new maps for the Medway Towns - Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham - during 2024. The first titles are expected to be published in March 2024 and the rest, normally two maps at a time, within the year, if possible by the end of 2024. Although the exact programme has not yet been decided, the group will begin with maps for Chatham and eventually include some coverage of all 5 towns, most of it in a block. Most maps will be for the early 1930s, an edition which shows Chatham's dockyard and naval base in detail. The lead author will be Pamela Taylor.

Subscriptions give an excellent discount, and also support us in our mission to cover as many towns and villages as possible. Each map includes a specially written introduction. Maps are normally sent to subscribers, postage free, a few days before publication. A subscription costs just £ 30.00 for the ten new maps, a substantial saving on the normal price.

The first maps in this subscription is due on 12th March 2024. Although no firm timetable can be given, we intend to publish all ten maps within a year, hopefully by the end of 2024.
