This is our ninth title in a short series of maps of the Ruhrgebiet. It is taken from the British War Office 1:12,500 plans and reduced to approx 1:19,000. Published in 1945, prior to the Allied occupation of the area, the maps are especially good at showing industry, collieries and transport. The maps are neatly folded and each includes a specially written introduction to the area. Maps can be purchased on our On-line Mapshop. Or visit The Index Page for a full list to the series and details of Prices.
Here are the details of our maps of Mülheim:
This map covers the central and southern part of Mülheim with coverage extending as far west as Duisburg station, in the top left corner of the map. Features include the Menden, Saarn, Broich and Speldorf areas of Mülheim. The map also includes the fascinating area south of Duisburg that includes the Berta See, Wedau, Bissingheim Estate and busy railway works and yards. Of special interest to some ex-servicemen will be the barracks south of Mülheim which became Wrexham Barracks.
The map links up with sheets 2 Oberhausen to the north and 7 Werden to the east.
