A short Newsletter this month, but with two major items of news. In fact, I have deliberately delayed until the last possible moment so that I could tell you about our latest map.
Today we have published a reprint of Staffordshire sheet 12.13 Hanley & Etruria 1877. This map is taken from the original coloured version of the 1st Edition, and is fully colour printed. It has taken quite a lot of work to get the scanning and printing right but we are very pleased with the result and hope you will be to. Click on the thumbnail right for a larger extract. And naturally, we think the printed version is better than this online extract.
We do hope that this will be the first of several such colour printed maps. We do charge slightly more - £ 2.95 - but feel these are extremely good value. If there is sufficient demand we would hope to include one coloured map a month in our new titles. (Please don't ask which they will be - we don't know ourselves yet!)
Secondly, this is to tell you that I will be at the Who Do You Think You Are family history event at Olympia, on the 25th to 27th February. This year I will be running the stand in cooperation with one of our authors, Chris Makepeace, so a very full selection of our maps will be available. I do hope to see some of you there; do come along and say "Hello!" even if you are not buying.
