    This highly detailed map at a 'Yard to the Mile' scale covers the centre of Southwark. Coverage stretches from Blackfriars Road eastward to Borough High Street, and from Southwark Street southward to Friar Street. Features include Southwark Convict Prison (shown in detail), St Saviours Union Workhouse, Surrey Chapel, Nelson Square, Iron Bedstead Manufactory, Phoenix Gas Works, a stretch of the LCDR railway incl Borough Road station, St Michael's church Lant Street, Hat & Cap Manufactory, St George the Martyr's church, Pickfords Goods Depot, a stretch of the SER railway (incl disused station at Blackfriars). Southwark Bridge Road runs through the centre of the map.On the reverse are street directory entries for Blackfriars Road, Blackman Street, Borough High Street, Great Suffolk Street, Lant Street, Mint Street.

    The map links up with sheets 7.75 Bankside to the north, 7.84 Waterloo to the west, 7.86 London Bridge Stn to the east, 7.95 Elephant & Castle to the south.
