Old Ordnance Survey Maps of Teesside, Middlesbrough and Cleveland

We have a small selection of maps for the Teesside area, in what used to be the county of Cleveland. They include titles for the great industrial town of Middlesbrough, which grew from a village in the 19th century; the charming seaside town of Saltburn; and Guisborough, once an important mining centre but now reverting to its older role of a pleasant market town. The maps have much fascinating detail regarding industry, steelworks, iron ore mines and railways. Further titles are being prepared. And, of course, other titles are available in our County Durham series for Stockton and Hartlepool.

Each map includes an introduction to the history of the area and most also have extracts from a contemporary directory. Further information about individual maps is given on our On-line Mapshop.
